TRANSPORT chiefs have agreed to review the city centre stops on a Sheffield bus route after receiving a petition from over 1,600 passengers.
Users of the 120 route are unhappy about changes meaning there is no stop close to the railway station.
They are also unhappy the main stop in the city centre has been moved from opposite the Cathedral on Church Street to outside McDonalds on High Street. Although the stops are only 100 yards apart, passengers say the stop outside McDonalds is cramped and has few seats.
It was agreed that David Young, of South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive, would conduct an analysis of the bus stops that were mentioned by the petitioners and bring a report back about whether changes should be made.
