SEVENTY jobs have been created at the first phase of a South Yorkshire retail park.
But its owners have applied for permission to split two large stores being built in a second phase into smaller units to make it easier to attract tenants.
Onward Holdings said its Onyx Retail Park, on the former Manvers colliery site, Wath-upon-Dearne, has been a success so far, attracting retail, financial and food outlets including Subway, Domino’s Pizza and a ‘continental’ café.
There are 17,500 sq feet of shop units available in phase one, which opened in August 2011. Phase two comprises a further 10,000 sq feet of space which is split between two units.
