Part of a historic city centre chapel could be refurbished.

The trustees of Upper Chapel Unitarian Church in Norfolk Street, Sheffield, hope to carry out repair work to the Hollis Building, which sits behind the main chapel.

They also want to extend the building, which currently has a congregation space and meeting rooms.

The aim is to improve ‘circulation’ around the complex and offer modernised services.

The project would be the third major upgrade on the chapel complex, according to the plans.
