Pub games and entertainment specialist Redtooth’s poker league has been named the best in the UK at the British Poker Awards.

Redtooth, based at Barlborough, near Chesterfield, organises pub quizzes, darts tournaments and poker leagues in addition to organising football forums, sporting dinners, casino nights, and fantasy football leagues.

More than 3,000 pubs use the company’s weekly quizzes and 1,200 take part in its pub poker league, the largest live pub poker league. The company also sponsors Sheffield United’s academy.

Managing director Martin Green, pictured fourth from the left, receiving the award for Best Poker League, said: “Over the last couple of years we have won the pub industry award for poker and now the poker industry’s award, which is an incredible double for us.

“With so many Redtooth Poker leagues taking place in pubs up and down the country we rely on the support of many volunteers to work alongside our team to organise the games week in, week out. This accolade is a thank you to all those individuals.”
