A NATIONAL programme to help start-up businesses in areas including South Yorkshire could be in line for an award.
Are You Ready? is listed as a finalist in StartUp Britain Awards, which recognises projects that help new enterprises and entrepreneurs.
The scheme launched in June, supported by founding patron, Carl Hopkins, of Channel 4’s Secret Millionaire series, is a national enterprise programme working with young people, aged from four to 19.
Its local schemes include Ready Rotherham, which aims to help youngsters in the town.
Becky Mollart, schools liaison officer for Are You Ready? said: “We’re so excited about the award. We believe we have a blueprint for success in developing enterprise.”
The scheme is one of five finalists for the Enterprise Support category in the StartUp Britain Awards, which will be presented in October.
