Commercial property experts from Sheffield solicitors Taylor and Emmet have helped leading UK social housing provider Guinness Northern Counties complete the £908,000 purchase of a site in Scunthorpe from a private seller in just eight weeks.
Guinness Northern Counties’ project delivery manager, Martin Sanderson, said: “Taylor and Emmet managed to complete this particularly high value acquisition successfully, despite the extreme set of circumstances and a number of unforeseen issues, which had to be resolved very quickly.”
Mr Sanderson praised Taylor and Emmet commercial property solicitor Rachel Houghton and her team for their “absolute professionalism.”
Rachel Houghton said: “This was a highly complex transaction, due to the number of problems that arose during the conveyancing process, and it was made doubly difficult by the short window of opportunity we had to work within.”
Taylor and Emmet is continuing to work on the Scunthorpe project, providing contracts for the mix of part-owned and rented properties on the site.
