Global bathroom products manufacturer Ideal Standard International has launched a pioneering online system for designers, installers and home owners thanks to Sheffield-based digital agency Quba.
Ideal has been a client of Quba for a number of years, so the Rockingham Street firm was the ideal choice to develop the web-based tool, that allows customers to browse entire ranges, choose products and customise fixtures and fittings to meet their design brief.
The result has been just what Ideal was hoping for – attracting customers from Australia and the Far East, as well as closer to home.
“We’ve had terrific feedback and see this service as being hugely influential in our growth strategy,” said Ideal Standard International’s Tony Rheinberg.
“As well as helping us, this tool will significantly reduce the amount of time that tradespeople spend in specifying their projects, and we’re hopeful that the technology will be a great help to the construction industry in this difficult economic climate.
“Thank you Quba for making this all possible!” Mr Rheinberg added.
Quba’s projects director, Rob Gregory, added “This project has been very exciting for us because of its ambitious scale, and we’re confident that the work we’ve put in will be immensely beneficial to Ideal Standard International and to the industry as a whole.
“We’re incredibly proud to have collaborated with Ideal Standard International on this groundbreaking project.”
Ideal plans to roll out the system – dubbed the Bluebook - across Europe, starting with launches in Ireland and France. Mobile and tablet versions of the Bluebook are already in the pipeline and due to launch within six weeks.
