The Sheffield office of accountants and business advisers PwC has announced the promotion of nine members of staff.

Tax specialist James Pennock becomes a director of the firm.

Mr Pennock joined PwC in 1998 after graduating from Oxford University, specialises in working with multinational companies and has recently worked on international structuring and transfer pricing projects.

Lucy Robson, who is another tax specialist, and Andy Stewart from the firm’s transaction services team, become senior managers.

Joanne Viney, Nick Hedley, Shi-han Li, Heather Stacey and Geoff Crossland all become managers in PwC’s core assurance practice, while Saffeena Ali becomes a manager in the corporate tax team.

PwC’s managing partner in Sheffield, Andy Ward, said the promotions came as the firm continued to grow and invest at all levels of its South Yorkshire business.
