SHEFFIELD United star Matthew Lowton was guest of honour at the reopening of a pub after its refurbishment.
The full back was invited to help launch the revamped Half Moon pub, on Chesterfield Road, Whitwell Common, near Worksop.
The footballer, who is a regular at the pub, attended the relaunch with his family.
He said: “We were thrilled to reopen the Half Moon - it’s a fantastic pub that I’ve been visiting for years.
“It is great to see it receive a renovation that will no doubt see it through to a new era of success.”
The Half Moon has been revamped by owner Spirit Pub Company to be one of its Fayre and Square pubs, which to serve a range of value for money meals and bar snacks for families.
