Sheffield Hallam University student Bethan Lewis has won the Women in Property National Student Award for Yorkshire and the North East.

The second year Building Surveying student received a £300 cheque and will go on to the finals of the Best of the Best Women in Property National Awards, at Claridge’s Hotel in London’s West End in September.

Bethan said: “I knew I would be up against some stiff competition on the judging day from all of the fellow finalists and am delighted my hard work has paid off.

“I think winning this regional award will help me on my future career path and I am looking forward to representing the Yorkshire & North East region at the national Women in Property Student Awards ceremony which will be held later this year.”

Jeff Pearey, head of national sponsors Jones Lang LaSalle’s Yorkshire office and head of the judging panel, said: “The standard of all the finalists was exceptionally high.

“However Bethan stood out because of her appreciation of what it takes to succeed and her hunger to learn.”
