CAR manufacturer Toyota has extended three major maintenance contracts with Sheffield-based Street CraneXpress.
The Roman Ridge Road company works in the press shop, assembly area, and plastics department at Toyota’s Burnaston site, in Derbyshire.
It monitors and maintains 30-tonne overhead cranes and production line equipment, including bespoke engine and gearbox manipulators, without disrupting car production.
SCX Group managing director Simon Eastwood said: “We are delighted that Toyota has taken the decision to continue using our services on the three major contracts.
“Our planned preventative maintenance programmes are being used by an increasing number of internationally renowned manufacturers and household names, who see the benefits of less downtime, better safety and improved efficiencies as a result of using our skill set.”
