Plusnet gets ‘raw deal’

Have your say

Smaller Internet Service Providers like Sheffield-based Plusnet could be losing out because telecommunications regulator Ofcom is ignoring their broadband services when reporting on the industry.

That is the verdict of Michael Phillips, product director at, the Ofcom accredited website that publishes comparisons between different service providers.

Commenting on Ofcom’s latest customer service report, Mr Phillips says: “It’s great that Ofcom’s report shows broadband providers are making strides to deliver high levels of customer service and, in turn, customer satisfaction.

“Smaller providers like Plusnet and O2 are getting a raw deal by not being included in this research since these guys punch above their weight in our own customer satisfaction surveys and regularly trump their bigger peers.”
