Have your say

The first apprentices who will be trained in advanced manufacturing techniques at the soon to be finished AMRC Training Centre have had the chance to see some of the hi-tech facilities they will be using.

The apprentices and their parents met with Training Centre director Alison Bettac, front left, head of training Kerry Featherstone, back row right, and trainers from the new centre.

All the apprentices have had to go through rigorous assessments, testing their English and maths skills, mechanical dexterity, reasoning ability and team working skills, before a testing final interview that matched them to the employer who will take them on and support their studies.
