Pegler Yorkshire, the leading manufacturer of components for the plumbing and heating industry, has launched a state-of-the-art interactive training centre at its Doncaster headquarters.

The centre has been created to enable plumbing industry professionals to further understand how modern innovations are installed and work, with the help of the team that designed the products.

It contains an enclosed training pod where up to 12 people can receive detailed training on products of their choice.

Pegler has invested £250,000 in the facility which has been hailed by Dutch-based parent group Aalberts Industries as setting the standard for the rest of its businesses.

Stuart Anderson, group managing director of Pegler Yorkshire, said: “We are proud to be able to encourage more visitors to our Doncaster site where they can engage with our products in a more informative way.

“Hands on experience is invaluable in this industry and with live interactive demonstrations by our team to showcase the versatility and suitability of our products we believe that more installers and customers will select Pegler Yorkshire as their preferred supplier.”

In addition to senior executives from Aalberts headquarters, the new training centre was recently visited by Doncaster Central MP Rosie Winterton.

She said: “The facility created by Pegler Yorkshire further demonstrates that the engineering industry is ever evolving and we should place huge importance on developing the skills of not only our youngsters but individuals who will benefit from the innovation of others.”
