Residents in Sheffield have been catching a glimpse of a 70ft peace sign projected on to the side of the city centre’s Charles Street car park – nicknamed the Cheesegrater.
Labelled the ‘peace invasion’, the symbol marks the launch of male grooming brand Lynx’s Make Not War campaign.
Signs are now appearing in a number of other cities as well as Sheffield, including Manchester, Bristol and Leeds.
The campaign, which encourages people to embrace peace, is based on three phrases – Make Beats Not War, Make Threads Not War and Make Moments Not War.
The campaign also aims to raise awareness for the Peace One Day Project.
Jeremy Gilley, Peace One Day founder, said “Through our partnership with Lynx, we hope to raise awareness in young people, and awareness of peace is everything.
“Awareness inspires action, and action creates change.”
