Panel lined up for student contest

Law firm hlw Keeble Hawson is sponsoring Sheffield Hallam University’s annual Enterprise Challenge competition for business start-ups for the sixth consecutive year.

Head of corporate law, Roger Dyson is once again on the judging panel alongside previous Enterprise finalist Jessica Zeun, who is running her own IT consultancy, Toby Hyam of Creative Space Management, Alan Sumerfield of Gripple Limited, Andrea Cropley of Irwin Mitchell, Alex McWhirter of Finance Yorkshire and Lloyd Snellgrove of Sheffield Hallam University.

Students and graduates are eligible to take part in the contest, which is now in its 14th year.

The winner will receive a £5,000 prize, and new this year is a £2,000 prize for the best social enterprise to reach the finals. The winners will be announced at a ceremony in October.

Roger said: “It is tremendous to see the standard of entries improving year-on-year. We place a high importance on helping start-ups and this competition is an ideal platform to support new business talent.”
