Leading corporate advisers from Sheffield are celebrating the part they played in the sale of top independent contemporary retail jeweller, Green + Benz.

Stephen Ingram of BHP Corporate Finance was lead adviser to store group founders Shane Green and Julie Benz, and his colleague, Graeme Davies, provided tax advice

Legal advisers to the founders were Neil Thompson, Mike Hall and Andrew Carmichael, from Hill Dickinson’s Sheffield office.

Shane Green and Julie Benz opened their first shop, Uno, in Chesterfield in 1991 and went on to open Green + Benz stores in Sheffield in 1998, Manchester in 2002 and Chesterfield in 2004, before opening a Pandora store in Sheffield three years ago.

The group has been acquired by a management team, led by managing director Helen Dimmick, for an undisclosed sum.

Shane Green praised BHP and Hill Dickinson for their expert advice.

“We’re delighted to be handing over the ownership of Green + Benz to a management team who have the ambition and integrity to develop and grow the business,” Mr Green added.
