Corporate recovery specialists from Sheffield have saved a Bridlington care home.
Chris White and Andy Wood of The P&A Partnership were appointed joint administrators of the Afton Court residential care home 14 months ago.
After taking over, the administrators had to deal with several serious compliance issues, which they resolved prior to the sale to Tamby Seeneevassen, owner of the East Riding-based Hexon Group of care homes, which has homes in Bridlington, Hornsea, Driffield and Filey.
“It has been a particularly challenging administration because we have had to run the home on a day-to-day basis for 14 months and improve the quality of care for residents,” said Chris White.
“We would like to thank employees who have supported us in our efforts to improve the home and keep it open.”
The sale of the home has saved 16 jobs and ensured continuing care for 19 elderly residents.
