MORE than 50 tenants attended an open day at Sheffield Council’s maintenance contractor Kier.
People attending included tenants, residents and leaseholders living on the city’s housing estates, whose homes are maintained by Kier staff.
A spokeswoman for the company, based on Manor Lane, said: “People who attended had a tour of Manor Lane including the call centre, stores, the construction design centre and a working at heights demonstration.
“There were also two site visits, one to the Woolley Wood and Mansell Primary School co-location and refurbishment project, and one to see refurbishment of sheltered properties for elderly people, at Orpen House, Norton.”
The visitors ate a barbecue lunch and chatted to senior Kier staff.
Sheffield Council leader, Julie Dore, and councillors Ray and Jackie Satur were among the guests.
