Meet Inguta Godaine, the teenager with the accountancy world at her feet.
The 19-year-old went into an interview for a Kaplan scholarship worth £15,000 to pay for an accountancy apprenticeship in Sheffield and walked out with the prize – and a job at city firm Hart Shaw.
At the interview Inguta, from Grimsby, impressed panel member Sue Turner of Hart Shaw so much she offered her an interview for a job with the company, which the teenager won.
Sue said: “Inguta brought a copy of work she had been doing recently in her accounts A-Level and talked the panel through the thought process behind it. She came across as determined, professional and ambitious.”
Martin Wharin, business services partner at Hart Shaw said: “We are delighted to welcome Inguta to Hart Shaw. She interviewed extremely well and showed the right attitude and desire to succeed in what is a competitive environment.
“We are grateful to Kaplan for putting forward such a high calibre individual and for the help and support we will receive through their scholarship programme.”
Inguta said: “Winning the scholarship is a huge weight off my shoulders and now I can’t wait to start my apprenticeship and earning money.”
