A FORMER Sheffield post office is going under the hammer after the branch was reopened in a different location.
The old site, on Main Road, Darnall, is being sold at auction at Elland Road football ground, in Leeds, on June 16.
The property offers approximately 1,302 sq ft of space and has a guide price of £85,000.
It is one of 178 lots scheduled to go under the hammer at the Eddisons two-day property auction, which begins at 12.30pm.
The catalogue includes a former church and vacant public houses, as well as vacant and tenanted residential and commercial properties. There are also various parcels of land, some of which are offered without reserves.
Guide prices for residential stock start from £7,500.
Tony Webber of Eddisons said: “This catalogue is larger than average and includes a wide variety of commercial and residential stock.
“We believe guide prices have been set at levels which reflect current market conditions and will prove attractive to buyers.”
Darnall Post Office closed after its old sub-postmaster left - and was reopened in the Darnall Forum building, further down Main Road.
