Bat’s the way to raise lots of cash

A PIECE of sporting history will go under the hammer in support of St Luke’s Hospice as Hallamshire Round Table hosts a Sportsmen’s Evening.

The March 21 event at the Holiday Inn, Rotherham, will include an auction, with one of the main prizes being a cricket bat signed by England test captain Alastair Cook.

Sports journalist Seth Bennett, a St Luke’s patron, will be the guest speaker, sharing some of his anecdotes from his years as a Radio Sheffield sport specialist.

The event, which includes a three-course dinner and raffle, costs £30 per person.

For further information or to make a reservation call Chris at Hallamshire Round Table on 07939 062 401 or Fran at St Luke’s Hospice on 0114 235 7556.
