Supporting the local community and a campaigning stance will be priorities for the new president of the Sheffield and District Law Society, Natalie Cosgrove.
Clinical negligence specialist Ms Cosgrove, of hlw Keeble Hawson, has worked with the Law Society, the professional association for solicitors across Sheffield, Rotherham and Barnsley, for several years. She previously held office as vice president and deputy vice president.
The solicitor is committed to working to support local lawyers. With expertise in birth injury and vulnerable patients, she joined hlw Keeble Hawson in January 2015 and holds civil and criminal Higher Rights of Audience.
She said: “My focus will be on the local community and campaigning for South Yorkshire lawyers on issues that are close to their hearts.
“Another priority is to promote my chosen charities of the year, Sheffield Mencap and Gateway and Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.”
Managing partner of hlw Keeble Hawson, Paul Trudgill, said: “Natalie’s remit is aligned with the firm’s deep-rooted ethos to put something back into our local communities and make a difference to the wide-ranging charities that we support.”
