A SHEFFIELD firm, whose products span everything from freshening the air to killing insects is going for growth with £150,000-worth of funding from NatWest.

Roman Ridge Road-based Hygequip Europe makes and distributes products used in washrooms and catering establishments, including soap and paper dispensers, hand- and hairdryers and cigarette disposal bins, as well as automatic fragrance dispensers and a range of insect control systems.

Thanks to NatWest’s support, the company plans to increase the range of products it sells in the UK and to export markets around the world, in addition to investing in developing tools to make bespoke products for customers.

The NatWest funding includes a £100,000 Enterprise Finance Guarantee loan.

Hygequip director Matt Haslam said: “We’re delighted to have been able to secure this extra funding.

“We’re already one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of this type of product in Europe and to be able to increase our range and manufacturing possibilities in this way is invaluable to our continued growth. To begin with our priority will be to improve our offering to customers but we anticipate that this will eventually create around four manufacturing jobs within the company.”

NatWest Commercial Banking’s Jon Shaw said: “Hygequip is a growing and ambitious company with a strong presence in the sector and the city. I wish them all the best with their plans and look forward to working with them in the future.”
