Spray nozzle and cooling systems specialist Lechler is targeting expansion on the back of new investment at its plant in Sheffield.
The company, which increased staffing by 50 per cent while notching up record sales last year, is predicting a 15 per cent increase in turnover this year, on the back of full order books until September.
After investing £275,000 in a new Soraluce milling machine, Lechler is currently investing in a major facelift at its factory and offices on Fell Street, off Brightside Lane.
Managing director, Daron Lloyd, says: “There is no doubt that the manufacturing industry across the UK is facing difficult times and challenges at the moment, however…there are manufacturing companies like ours that are growing successfully, taking on staff and investing in new machinery.”
Lechler makes specialised systems that cool the rolls in mills processing steel and aluminium.
Around 90 per cent of the roll cooling systems and associated applications it produces in Sheffield are exported.
