PARLIAMENTARIANS have been on a fact-finding tour of Rotherham firm that uses cutting-edge multimedia content to link education with businesses from across the UK.

Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury and Leeds West MP Rachel Reeves and Wentworth and Dearne Labour MP John Healey toured U-Explore’s Magna 34 Business Park headquarters to see how the business is helping young people to find suitable employment and training, regardless of their circumstance, and make educated decisions about their futures.

U-Explore works with businesses, local authorities and other organisations across the country to provide online support and resources for schools and colleges.

Its internet-based system helps young people to get a wider understanding of industries such as construction and creative media and shows them the job opportunities that exist locally and nationally. U-Explore includes detailed profiles of real businesses and jobs, employee interviews and sector-specific news stories to help pupils make a more informed choices about their careers.

The company’s products have been rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted for the support they provide for careers advice and enterprise education.
