Luxury motorhomes specialist RS Motorhomes is creating 25 jobs as part of plans to move from Goldthorpe to Harworth, near Doncaster.

The company, which started out 25 years ago supplying specialised motorhomes to the motorsport market, has expanded into the leisure market in recent years.

Now it plans to open a brand new showroom with a service area and factory on Harworth Business Park, just off the A1, close to Blyth services.

Managing director Mick Rowe said: “We are very excited to be moving to Harworth Business Park.

“We have some ambitious growth plans for the years ahead and our relocation is integral to these plans. We are keen to develop sales in both the new and used sectors of the motorhome market. We look forward to welcoming our customers to the new site over the coming weeks.”

RS says the new site will allow it to improve the efficiency of its manufacturing processes and will also enable customers to visit the factory and see their motorhome being designed and built.

The new site will also have a dedicated service area for habitation checks and vehicle servicing and room for up to 80 used motorhomes.

RS says it plans to launch its new Endeavour mid-range model, which provides space for up to six people, from the new site and has already begun recruiting staff.

The company is currently looking for salespeople, service technicians, welders, bench joiners, auto electricians, valeters, fabricators and interior fitters.

RS’s range spans everything from its Evolution model, up to 40 feet long with accommodation for eight and incorporating workshop space suitable for bikes, karts, jet skis and the like, to its Equinox entry level model, based on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter.
