More than 9,000 South Yorkshire homes and businesses are being given access to super-fast broadband as a roll-out programme continues across the county.
Work in Thrybergh and Wath-upon-Dearne is set to be completed over the next few weeks, with many premises already connected.
Fibre broadband is already available in many parts of Rotherham, including Aston Common, Dinnington, Maltby and Wickersley.
The BT project was welcomed by Andrew Palmer, CBI director for Yorkshire and the Humber,
He said: “Super-fast fibre broadband will benefit both businesses and local residents.
“It is vital we embrace this latest technology in order for our local economy to remain competitive.”
