STAFF at a Sheffield tools store are supporting the RNLI’s flood rescue team by selling a special model.

Toolstation, which has a store in Parkwood Springs, as well as others in Rotherham, Barnsley and Doncaster, is selling models of the team’s Land Rover and lifeboat, priced £5.49, with all profits going to the charity.

Neil Carroll, Toolstation managing director, said: “While of course it is vital to raise funds for the flood rescue team, my big hope is this will also help spread awareness of their activities around the UK.”

Robin Goodlad, RNLI flood response manager, said: “We are impressed with the Corgi model and its accuracy and detail.

“I am sure it will sell very well, which will be of great benefit to the team.”
