Bosses promise the shop will attract more than a million customers a year.

The Rotherham shop has a big free car park, and will also feature a 160-seat coffee shop.

Departments will include ladieswear, menswear, shoes and luggage, bags, jewellery, accessories, a cookshop, a bathshop, textiles, china, glass, gifts, cards, books, DVDs, arts and crafts, perfume and cosmetics and lighting.

The store will sell more than 200 fashion brands from names including Jaeger and Austin Reed to Phase Eight, Hobbs, Alexon, Jacques Vert, Windsmoor, French Connection, Ben Sherman and Pierre Cardin.

Homewares will include Fenn Wright Manson, Christy, Denby, Le Creuset, Portmeirion, Royal Crown Derby and Wedgwood.

The Rotherham store will become the fifth Boundary Mill in the UK.

Existing stores are in Grantham, Lincolnshire; Colne in Lancashire; Walsall in the West Midlands, and Shiremoor in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Boundary Mill is a privately owned company which was founded in 1983. It describes itself as ‘the largest quality mill store of its kind in the UK’.

Its philosophy is to offer customers up to 75 per cent off top name brands in fashion and homeware.
