An IT expert who is responsible for helping to shape the future of Microsoft is set to deliver a presentation at a business festival in Sheffield.
Dave Coplin, the chief envisioning officer of Microsoft UK, is joining a host of world class business speakers to deliver a masterclass at this year’s MADE: The Entrepreneur Festival 2015.
He will provide an insight into “the future of technology in business” as part of the main programme of festival activity taking place at Sheffield City Hall.
Mr Coplin’s masterclass will explore how the rapidly rising volume of information is affecting all aspects of our lives as consumers, customers, workers and in business.
His presentation will also address the problems society faces and how technology can be used to re-imagine how we live, work and do business.
He joins a long list of other inspirational speakers, including JB Gill, a former member of boyband JLS turned entrepreneur, Annabel Karmel, cookery author and entrepreneur, Kevin Byrne, founder of Checkatrade.com, and Joe McEwan, head of digital at Innocent Drinks.
The masterclass day takes place at the City Hall on October 22 between 9am and 6pm.
There will also be a programme of fringe events - including talks, workshops and presentations - taking place at various venues across the city between Monday, October 19, and Friday, October 23.
The event is co-organised by Marketing Sheffield and the BE Group.
