Three workers at a car dealership in Rotherham have been recognised for more than 110 years of service.

Service advisor Peter Parkinson and motor technician John Allott, have both been at Evans Halshaw Ford Rotherham, Aldwalke Road, Parkgate for more than 40 years.

And motability specialist Tim Wilkinson has been there for more than 30 years after joining as a trainee salesman at 18.

Peter, who started working there as an apprentice mechanic in 1968 aged 15, said: “I’ve loved my time here. On my first day there was a Ford Anglia in the shop and it’s strange to think that’s now considered a classic. It’s amazing to see how times have changed.”

The men each received £200 of shopping vouchers.

Darren Robb, dealer principal, thanked the three men for the loyalty, commitment and contribution to the company.
