INDEPENDENT contemporary jewellery retailer Green+Benz has been bought by a management buy-out team for an undisclosed sum.

Helen Dimmick, who joined the company as managing director in 2010, has taken a controlling stake in the business.

She is joined on the Green+Benz board by finance and operations director, Mark Williams, and Alan Higgs, chairman of Midlands-based independent jeweller T H Baker.

Helen Dimmick said: “Green+Benz is in excellent shape. Plans are in place to increase the turnover of the business in the next five years with store developments, expanding product ranges and services and online technology – all avenues that will be explored further.”

The management team was advised by Neil Mitchell and Victoria Edwards of corporate finance advisers Rickitt Mitchell and Giles Cheshire of lawyers Squire Sanders.
