Vet, Gonda de Ganck, of Gonda’s Veterinary Practice has been shortlisted for Vet of the Year in the prestigious Petplan Veterinary Awards for 2015.

The awards, now in their 16th year, celebrate the nation’s most exceptional vets, vet nurses, practices, practice managers and vet support staff who have gone above and beyond the call of duty in keeping pets healthy and giving owners peace of mind.

Gonda runs the clinic, which has been an established Veterinary Practice in Maltby area for over 20 years.

In the course of her positione, Gonda and her team care for the wellbeing of the full spectrum of small animals and horses.

She said: “I feel very honoured to have been nominated for this award and I am quite overwhelmed to be a finalist.

“I find my job as a vet to be very rewarding in itself – I have always loved working with animals and it gives me a great sense of satisfaction to watch sick animals recover with my help and go on to lead the best possible quality of life.”

Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on April 9.
