HALF a million pounds was lent by a South Yorkshire-based banking team to ensure a new holiday village could be completed.
HSBC’s Commercial Banking Team provided the cash for Coppergreen Developments Limited, a company which runs upmarket holiday parks.
The funding is helping to pay for the second phase of Woodland Lakes park, near Thirsk, North Yorkshire.
The work will include 12 timber holiday lodges, a reception, store and parking.
Martin Nattrass, HSBC’s area commercial director for South Yorkshire, said: “We have worked with Coppergreen for many years and this latest development is a great example of how the business capitalises on growth opportunities.
“The hospitality industry is enjoying a resurgence and Coppergreen is capitalising on this trend by investing.”
