Lottery cash awarded to Rotherham school groups

After-school activities are to be run in Rotherham - thanks to grants from the Big Lottery Fund.

Catcliffe Primary School and the Meadows Children’s Centre have received £9,223 to run activities with partner primary schools involving different cultures.

African dancing and origami will be among the sessionsw which are planned.

Rotherham’s Older People Forum has been awarded £7,950 to continue working with a freelancer to help organise an event to celebrate International Older People’s Day.

Caroline James, of the Big Lottery Fund, said: “Each project which has received Awards for All funding will make a huge difference to people’s lives.”
