A renewables company founded in a bedroom two years ago has become a boardroom success.
Former Eaga employee Gurdeep Lall started 2 RED Ltd, in 2012 from his Nottingham home, with a business funding loan from the Eaga Trust
Now, not only does he have an eight-strong workforce, but the company, which he now co-runs with his brother Manjit, looks set to turnover £1.5m this year and operates from a suite of offices in Chesterfield with a warehouse on the same site.
Gurdeep, aged 37, drew on his experience as business development manager at Eaga plc – latterly Carillion Plc – to set up the business, installing loft, cavity wall and also solid wall insulation.
The expanding company is now moving into domestic and commercial solar and also domestic gas central heating system installations.
