Tornado, the new £3m Doncaster-designed steam locomotive, is due to return to the tracks next month.
The engine will be back on Saturday, June 18, with her debut main line passenger train in her new Brunswick green livery following an extended winter maintenance period at the National Railway Museum in York.
The loco was built by enthusiasts who used designs drawn up in Hexthorpe in the 1940s.
The Canterbury Tornado, promoted by Pathfinder Tours, will run from Poole to Canterbury and back.
The engine has a new livery of BR Brunswick green, in place of her now-familiar LNER apple green, carried by the original A1s for most of their lives up until the last one was scrapped in 1966.
