Keeping it local is helping to fuel record growth at Barnsley-based Cutting Technologies.
The laser cutting and engraving specialists, who worked on the London Olympics, has clients around the world, but says it is clients closer to home that are underpinning its success.
“Cutting Technologies recorded a 20 per cent growth in the first six months of 2012 and we know a substantial part of that is because of the quality relationships we have with other Barnsley manufacturing businesses,” says director and founder Martin Cook.
“We are working closely with several other growing Barnsley businesses and, by meeting each other’s needs efficiently, we’re reducing costs such as transportation and benefiting from steady growth.”
Cutting Technologies’ local clients include street furniture designer and manufacturer Wybone and Galglass, which is a market leading designer, manufacturer and installer of steel and concrete storage tanks.
Galglass sales director Jonathan Smith said: “We’re experiencing fantastic growth at the moment and it’s great to be able to pass on some of our success locally by choosing Barnsley suppliers like Cutting Technologies.”
