Businesses from across the Sheffield City Region are being urged to help drive growth in key areas of the local economy.
The call comes from the new Local Enterprise Partnership, which has launched a series of sector groups to promote economic growth.
The four groups, cover the advanced manufacturing and materials; creative and digital; tourism, leisure and sport and property and construction sectors.
The LEP is seeking individuals representing a region-wide cross-section of private sector organisations and companies, as well representatives from local authorities and other public sector organisations to create a number of private/public sector partnerships.
LEP chairman and past Master Cutler James Newman, said: “We have strong ambitions to build on this legacy by supporting and developing the most important sectors with the greatest potential for growth – ultimately to help build a more balanced, resilient and diverse economy.
“These groups will help make sure we build a strong network across all of our region’s businesses and other stakeholders so that a coherent strategic direction for each sector can be created and delivery of that strategy made easier for both private and public sector participants.”
Anyone interested in joining the groups should contact the Sheffield City Region Local Enterprise Partnership through the www.sheffieldcityregion.org/contact-us page on its website.
