Lawyers from DLA Piper’s Sheffield offices have played a key role in the sale of one of the UK’s leading piling and foundation specialists to its French owned rival.
Specialists from DLA Piper’s Sheffield-based corporate and real estate teams advised Burton-upon-Trent-based Roger Bullivant Ltd on the company’s sale for a significant, but undisclosed sum, to Bachy Soletanche.
Sheffield office managing partner Richard May, who heads the office’s corporate team, said: “This was a particularly complex and lengthy transaction. However, through providing cross-practice advice on previous projects throughout the UK, we have developed a strong relationship with Roger Bullivant over the years and were well-placed to bring the deal to a successful conclusion.
“This transaction represents the end of a chapter for the business, which will I am sure continue to prosper under new ownership.”
The Leeds offices of law firm Clarion and accountants Grant Thornton also provided advice on the deal.
