Landlord licence plan for town’s rented homes

Have your say

Landlords in parts of Rotherham could soon need licences for their properties as part of a scheme being considered by the town council.

Houses in the town centre, Eastwood, Masbrough, Dinnington and parts of Maltby will be affected by the proposals.

The aim is to tackle low housing demand by improving standards, in areas where population is falling, the environment is of poor quality and many properties are standing empty.

Drop-in sessions are being arranged in the designated areas and will continue until March 7.
