Property consultant GVA has disposed of a 50,900sq ft warehouse on the Barbot Hall Industrial Estate in Rotherham on behalf of commercial kitchen equipment company Enodis.

The Sceptre Point unit, in a prominent position on Mangham Road has been acquired by Principal Building Products for £1.075 million.

Rob Oliver, from GVA, brokered the deal. He said: “Over the last few years, we have found Rotherham to be one of the more resilient and active markets in our area for industrial premises and we were pleased with the interest in this unit. Our client had a leasehold interest in this unit, but most enquiries were for the freehold. With the landlord willing to sell, we were able to agree a lease surrender and freehold sale.”

GVA and Crossland Otter Hunt were joint marketing agents for Enodis.
