June is planning to offer a fair deal at her new Fairtrade shop

Have your say

A new place to buy Fairtrade goods has opened in a Sheffield suburb, offering goods four days a week.

June Bingham is selling a variety of items at her Thumbs Up outlet in Pitsmoor Methodist Church, Burngreave Road.

Shoppers can pick up breakfast products, cakes and biscuits, drinks, gifts and homeware, handmade cards, household goods, snacks, sweets, spreads and sauces.

There are special rates for churches and community groups and discounts for charities and schools, as well as for any bulk orders.

June will be there every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, between 2pm and 4pm.

She said: “If you would like to come and see for yourself I can offer you a comfortable seat and a free hot drink so you can sample what’s available and have a browse.”

An open day is planned for Saturday, September 21, to highlight the work the fair trade movement promotes.
