John Lewis has announced a £1.3 million investment in its Sheffield department store, which will include the refurbishment of the ground floor, including a new-look beauty hall.
The hall will be extended and refitted with some of the latest concept fixtures – and new brands will be added.
As part of the refurbishment, haberdashery will move to the second floor, toys will be relocated to the third floor and gifts and gift food will move down to the ground floor.
Work on the project is due to start in August and the project will be completed in October.
John Lewis Sheffield will remain open throughout the works and activity will be managed to minimise any impact on customers.
James Prince, head of branch John Lewis Sheffield, said: “Our primary focus is always our customers’ shopping experience and this investment will help to ensure Sheffield shoppers continue to receive the best. Our long term focus remains to work with the council on the viability and vitality of the city centre.”
