NINETEEN jobs in Rotherham have been safeguarded after a buyer was found for an equipment testing firm ahead of the founder’s retirement.
The PJO Group has been sold to Mechan Controls after chairman Patrick O’Grady decided to retire at the age of 67.
The firm repairs and calibrates electronic equipment used by utility companies.
All PJO staff have been retained.
Patrick O’Grady said he was delighted.
Mechan Controls makes non-contact safety switches for machine guards.
The deal was brokered by Berkshire-based BCMS Corporate.
