It’s Sheffield’s very own precious metal.

David Rayne’s stainless steel wedding rings - complete with Made in Sheffield mark and certificate - proved such a hit he branched out into cufflinks. And the jewellery maker swiftly found a high profile admirer of his work when he got the chance to present them to Master Cutler David Grey (right in photo).

The owner of Tiago Jewellery in Neepsend, started out at Forgemasters before becoming a jeweller 29-years ago. He designed wedding rings after being inspired by the centenary of stainless last year.

Now his cufflinks are worn by Charles Turner, chairman of the Made in Sheffield organisation, and the Master Cutler.
