Fisher Scientific is celebrating the success of the most popular Science World event it has ever staged outside London.

More than 600 delegates, including laboratory managers, technicians, purchasing and teaching staff from universities, medical schools, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies attended the flagship event, organised by the laboratory supplies company at Rotherham’s Magna Science Adventure Centre.

They came to hear keynote speakers Professor Richard Dawkins and Baroness Susan Greenfield, the Professor of Synaptic Pharmacology at Lincoln College, Oxford and former director of the Royal Institution, see a series of demonstrations and tour Magna.

More than 80 of Fisher Scientific’s key suppliers exhibited at the event where the company also launched its first e-commerce iPhone app.
