A SHEFFIELD IT company has just celebrated its best year with a 38 per cent increase in turnover, 40 per cent increase in gross profits and an increase in staff of more than 50 per cent.

Resolve IT Solutions, established in 2004, has also just been recognised with a top industry standard for customer service.

The firm, based at Nursery Works, Little London Road, Abbeydale, has been awarded ISO 9001:2008 by Quality Management Systems.

It recognises a company’s commitment to customer service and aims to give peace of mind to consumers choosing a supplier.

Managing director Andrew Seaton, who won Entrepreneur of the Year and Young Businessperson of the Year at The Star Business Awards last year, said: “We are really proud of our team and the high-quality service we offer, and it’s great to be recognised for that.

“We did this to make sure our customers receive the best service possible.

“Having spent a great deal of time developing processes to make sure issues are solved in a timely and effective manner, we wanted to ensure that our systems were industry standard.

“Our clients, particularly those in manufacturing, are used to having standardised procedures to guarantee a high level of service and product across the company. This was an opportunity to reflect on what we already had in place and to make sure that they were up to the appropriate standard.”

Resolve also claims to have a high rate of retention of employees and clients.

Andrew added: “Training means that employees feel valued and invested in, and clients are given an outstanding service.

“Resolve IT believes that the key to success is its attention to detail and the manner in which we focus on high level customer service.”

In the past 12 months, the Resolve team has grown from 12 to 19, all IT engineers, including a specialist engineer to handle server installs, and an Apple-certified Mac technician.

Andrew said: “It is great that in the current climate we are bucking the trend and recruiting.

“We are still a fairly small team overall but I am immensely proud of our achievements this year and am looking ahead to a prosperous 2012/13.”
