LEADING corporate lawyer Andrea Cropley has joined the Sheffield office of Irwin Mitchell from rivals Nabarro as a corporate partner.

Andrea Cropley specialises in mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, capital reorganisations, joint ventures and strategic alliances for public and private clients in the UK and internationally. She also advises on commercial contracts, including procurement, distribution, licensing and agency arrangements, and has extensive knowledge of the Public Finance Initiative and other Public Private Partnership projects.

Her activities in the wider business community include being a member of the Business Advisory Panel, which advises the Sheffield City Region Local Enterprise Partnership.

Andrea Cropley’s recruitment by Irwin Mitchell follows a series of other high profile appointments at the firm in recent months, including the appointment of a new national head of finance, a leading asset-based lending partner and two construction and engineering specialists.

Niall Baker, chief executive of Irwin Mitchell’s business legal services division, said: “Andrea’s appointment is another clear signal of Irwin Mitchell’s intention to grow and build a first-class legal offering for the corporate market.”
